Serious accident yesterday evening in Capoterra.

Around 7 pm a car left the road in the locality of “Sa perda su gattu”, in Poggio dei Pini. A 21-year-old and a 17-year-old on board. Both were rescued and transported to hospital: the girl, Alessia Pisano (she would have turned 18 on 19 April), in red code at Brotzu, where she was taken to the operating room but the injuries proved too serious and died in the night ; the young man at the Policlinico di Monserrato is not in danger of life.

The carabinieri of Capoterra, Pula and Assemini intervened on the spot.

The dynamics of what happened need to be clarified.

The community is shocked by the grave mourning: “Today we wake up with a dramatic, devastating news - Beniamino Garau, mayor of Capoterra writes on social media -. A very young girl lost her life in a car accident, a broken young life, a tragedy that shook us all. As Mayor I cling to the pain of the family and on behalf of our entire community I offer my sincere condolences ".
