Is Sardinia the land of longevity? Here is the data on funding for new places in nursery schools. The Island will receive almost 5 million euros (4,869,307) from the Municipal Solidarity Fund and from a rule introduced by the 2022 budget law.

The criterion for dividing the fund (230 million in total) is based above all on the threshold of supply of places in kindergartens in relation to potential users. Municipalities below 28.88% are better positioned.

In the national ranking the Sardinian data is not encouraging. The Local Authorities Study Center notes that the 5 million (2% of the fund) will be divided into the 284 municipalities that fall within that threshold , for just 635 small "additional" users.

What structures can be built with such little funding? Will they just be improvement interventions? The national objective jumps to 30 thousand places, and after doing the math, for the island, the average will be two places per municipality.

The Region that has intercepted the most resources is Campania, with 52.7 million, over a third of the sum allocated to the South. The city of Naples alone will receive over 7 million, for 954 new places.

The Pnrr funds remain. 2.4 billion are earmarked for the expansion of nursery schools. With the aim of having enough places to accommodate one in three children in the age group between zero and two years. But when?
