Culture, music, politics and history. For a few days in the town of Nurachi there has also been a bit of Sardinian history. Five streets of the town, at the behest of the Municipality led by the mayor Renzo Ponti, finally have a name and not just any one: the administration wanted to remember people who brought prestige to the island.

The side street of via Berlinguer was named after Francesco Cossiga , eighth president of the Italian Republic from 1985 to 1992, the youngest at the time of the election: he was 56 years old. The side street of via Oristano was dedicated to Giuseppe Biasi , born in Sassari in 1885, considered one of the best Sardinian painters. The road in the Serra Arena area was instead named after Giovanni Lilliu , an archaeologist, considered the greatest expert on the Nuragic civilisation, who contributed to the discovery of the first Giants of Mont'e Prama, in the most dense hill of Sinis. But there are also those who will now have the honor of living in via Pinuccio Sciola , the artist from San Sperate famous for his sound sculptures present in various cities around the world. The side street in Via Autonomia Sarda will instead be dedicated to Fabrizio De Andrè , one of the greatest Italian singer-songwriters who had a profound relationship with Sardinia: here he wrote many songs that later became famous, but he was also kidnapped. It happened in 1979, in his country house in Tempio, together with Dori Ghezzi.

The Municipality of Nurachi announces that, as required by law, the new titles put in black and white in a council resolution will be operational following authorization from the Prefect.
