The 22-year-old Tunisian who yesterday morning, in via Brigata Sassari, attacked a 47-year-old woman who was inside her car was reported and admitted to the psychiatric ward of the San Francesco hospital in Nuoro.

The man, barefoot and clearly confused, approached the car and tried to force the victim out. The woman, terrified by what was happening to her, fortunately managed to keep her cool and somehow defend herself and put up resistance, avoiding the worst. But the attacker suddenly opened the car door and punched the 47-year-old in the face, attempting to drag her out of the vehicle by grabbing her arm . The victim, still wearing her seat belt, tried to push him away. Once she managed to free herself from the seat belt and get out of the car, the man punched her again in the shoulder.

Two passersby intervened to help her. Shortly after, the victim's daughter arrived and tried to take a picture of the attacker, but he managed to escape despite the girl's attempt to chase him. Fortunately, a police car managed to stop him shortly after.

The woman, transported by ambulance to the emergency room, was examined and released in the evening without serious consequences. The police officers were then able to track down the attacker thanks to the intervention of the patrol cars. After having stopped him, the attacker was reported at large. Subsequently, due to his psychophysical state, he was taken to the San Francesco hospital in Nuoro, where he was subjected to compulsory medical treatment and admitted to the psychiatric ward to be monitored and treated. An episode that has caused concern in a city like Nuoro not accustomed to this type of aggression.
