In Nuoro we remain in dad until the anti-Covid screening is completed.

The mayor Andrea Soddu decided: "The city schools of kindergarten, elementary, middle and high schools, public and not, will have to activate remote teaching until the completion of the screening activity ordered by the regional ordinance of last January 5" , reads a note from the Municipality.

The order was taken following the invitation of the Assl: "In a note sent to the Municipalities by the local health company, in fact, the mayors are invited to 'give their maximum support in order to stop the chain of Covid infections as soon as possible in the province of Nuoro and it is suggested that face-to-face lessons be reactivated only after the target population has finished screening '”.

The institutes, therefore, “will be able to resume teaching in person once the screening of their student population has been completed. The ordinance, therefore, does not concern schools that are carrying out tests between today and tomorrow ".

THE STRIKE - For many students, screening is not enough: a strike day has been proclaimed for next Monday, the day they return to class. Alessandro Frongia, president of the Provincial Council of Cagliari and representative of the "De Sanctis-Deledda" institute, anticipates this in a note. Speak on behalf of the Cagliari student representatives.

"The situation of the pandemic in this historical period is completely out of control - he explains - not to mention the Sardinian transport system, which is unable to meet the demand for mobility from students. Sardinian school facilities are unable to to guarantee the minimum standards of distancing ".

The solution? For the students right now it is the dad. "In these days we have met very often to elaborate a strategy but the problem still exists, right now there are no solutions to return to presence. We all agree that Dad is harmful to the sociability and coexistence of us students, but the right to health and not to get infected is now more important ". The claims: "We want at least two weeks of Dad, in order to wait for the contagion curve to decrease and have a peaceful return to school, as already established in Campania with the governor De Luca". Screening in progress? "Until recently it could have been much more effective, but now we have to tackle the Omicron variant. Plus the campaign is optional: we don't really know how many students will go to swab."
