"Sa jaca", the ancient and typical robust wooden gate of Sardinia arrives in Nuoro, at the entrance to the vineyard of the Il pino di Grazia Deledda park. The land, which belonged to the writer's family, is now enriched not only by rare plants, but also by «more than a simple gate - say the members of the Orthobenessere association which is working on the project -. The "jacas" constitute a true identifying symbol of the island's agro-pastoral reality; works of craftsmanship handed down for generations".

The refined Sardinian gates were generally built with juniper, oak, chestnut or walnut wood, famous for their hardness and longevity. The addition of the precious piece of craftsmanship, often positioned at the entrance to the vineyards, was possible thanks to the Paolo Peddio company from Desulo which donated "sas taulas", the Sardinian chestnut wood boards, then transported to the Mura di carpentry Nuoro where, after a series of research and observations of the last existing "jacas", now very rare (replaced by more modern metal or iron gates), it was possible to reconstruct a design faithful to the oldest jacas.
And, thanks to the skill of the carpenter and Orthobenessere member, Antonio Mura, it was possible to proceed with the assembly and then installation together with the blacksmith Giovanni Paddeu from Mamoiada and the volunteers of the association.
