The protected hearing opened and almost immediately closed this evening, in the ENT department of San Francesco in Nuoro, of the fourteen-year-old survivor of the massacre carried out by Roberto Gleboni, the 52-year-old forestry worker who two days ago in via Ichnusa killed his wife Giusi Massetti (43), his daughter Martina (25), his son Francesco (10) and his neighbor Paolo Sanna (69) and then went to via Gonario Pinna to shoot his mother, aged 84, before taking his own life with the same weapon.
The boy is the only child who escaped the massacre. And the only witness who, through his memories, could provide useful information to investigators to reconstruct what happened that bloody morning, in the house of the exterminated family. But he couldn't say much: his emotional state and his health conditions did not allow any further investigation. Furthermore, his statements - and perhaps it couldn't have been otherwise, given the conditions and what he saw - appeared contradictory and confused.
A psychologist and the legal guardian appointed by the Prosecutor's Office, Antonio Cualbu, were also present with the investigators to listen to the boy. From the story of the only eyewitness to the crimes, and member of that family that many said seemed perfect, an explanation is sought for the massacre, a motive that has remained a mystery until now.
“They were all screaming,” he said to those who were taking him to the hospital, when the horror of the gunshots still echoed.
In the meantime, investigators continue to work: they are digging into the accounts of the Gleboni-Massetti family , to understand if financial problems could be at the origin of the tragedy. But they are also examining the medical documents.
