Nine years and two months of sentence , which with the application of the discount for choosing the abbreviated procedure drops to six years and four months : this is the final sentence requested by the public prosecutors Andrea Ghironi, Riccardo Belfiori and Selene Desole against Roberta Barabino (defended by Gianluca Sannio and Antonio Secci), the former support administrator accused of having preyed on dozens of elderly and vulnerable people .

Today, before the preliminary hearing judge of Nuoro, Giovanni Angelicchio, seven specific cases were analyzed that led to a total sum of approximately 170 thousand euros of damages , the result of unauthorized withdrawals made by Barabino. The request for conviction is in addition to that already issued in a previous trial , in which the defendant had been sentenced to seven years and eight months of imprisonment . Furthermore, Roberta Barabino's husband, Graziano Francesco Coinu, had been sentenced to three years and ten months .

The facts contested are very serious: eight hundred episodes of unauthorized withdrawals, with the use of funds for personal purposes, amounting to a total of 166 thousand euros.

The prosecutors also requested an increase in the sentence through the application of the continuation of the crime, with the addition of two days of sentence for the first three hundred episodes and one day for the remaining ones.

The incident represents a serious form of abuse against vulnerable people, for whom the support administrator had the obligation to protect and assist.
