A security emergency has been triggered around the Frogheri Stadium: starting today, both the Nuoro tennis club and the municipal stadium are closed due to a dangerous floodlight tower located inside the sports facility. The critical situation was reported in recent days and prompted the mayor to order the immediate closure of the facilities.

The municipal ordinance is currently being published, but the mayor has already communicated it directly to the clubs involved: the Circolo Tennis and Nuorese Calcio, which uses the stadium for training and official matches. The announcement was made "through the shortest possible channels" to allow for a timely suspension of activities and avoid any risk.

The measure takes effect immediately, starting at 1:00 PM today . Access to both facilities is prohibited until the unsafe structure has been completely removed, expected by Thursday, September 18th. Until then, all sporting and club activities will remain suspended.

Frogheri itself, which less than a month ago hosted thousands of spectators during the 2025 Redentore Festival, will likely be declared unsafe today for public safety reasons.
