Twenty-eight warrant officers, fourteen brigadiers, and two corporals/Carabinieri are among the newly transferred soldiers who arrived in Nuoro this morning , destined to serve in departments throughout the province. Coming from both the Carabinieri's training schools, just completing their training, and from other departments on the mainland and throughout Sardinia, the 40 new Carabinieri were welcomed at the Sant'Onofrio barracks by the Provincial Commander of Nuoro, Colonel Gennaro Cassese , who, during a brief welcome briefing, emphasized the privilege of being able to enhance their professional skills in the unique context of Sardinia's hinterland.
The soldiers were subsequently received by the Prefect, Alessandra Nigro, who, in underlining the fundamental and valuable contribution of the members of the Carabinieri , recognizing them as her indispensable collaborators, wished them all to "operate, with commitment and success, in the Barbagia area as representatives of legality and the institutions, with closeness to the territory and the ability to listen".
