Presumed death for Stefano Masala , the 29-year-old from Nule who disappeared between 7 and 8 May 2015, the night before Gianluca Monni, a student from Orune, was killed at the hands of two killers who had arrived in the village with the masala car.

The 29-year-old's family had given a mandate to the lawyer Caterina Zoroddu to ask the Nuoro court to declare the presumed death. The sentence was issued on 25 May last considering the assumptions "on the basis of the two final convictions and the fact that the searches for the body, although meticulous, proved to be useless". But also because "more than 7 years have passed since the disappearance of Stefano Masala without there ever being news of his permanence".

The convicted are the two cousins Paolo Enrico Pinna , who was 17 at the time of the events, and Alberto Cubeddu who was 21. For the first, 20 years in prison, for the second, life imprisonment.

As confirmed by the Cassation, they killed Stefano Masala to then go to Orune in his car to kill Monni - with whom Pinna had to settle accounts after a fight - and thus remove suspicion from them.
