It is not always said that social networks are counterproductive. Indeed, sometimes they are a good viaticum for telling stories and rediscovering roots. This is the case of Luis Scotto.

In recent days, the mayor of Nughedu San Nicolò, Michele Carboni, had announced that he had received a visit from Luis who has decided to live in the center of Monte Acuto.

«For some time now we have been witnessing a pleasantly strange process, an emigration in reverse with many families choosing to move to our community. This morning, in the Town Hall, I had the great pleasure of meeting and welcoming Luis and his wonderful family - declared the mayor -. Luis, Argentine by birth, son of Nughedesi emigrants, decided with great courage to leave everything and move to the land that belonged to his ancestors. He spoke of honor, of Nughedese blood, of sacrifice and of the desire to get involved. Uncommon intentions these days. I gave them our warmest welcome on behalf of the whole community, certain of the splendid welcome and warmth that we will be able to transmit to the new arrivals ", concluded the mayor.

Shortly before, the message had arrived, published on the Facebook group "Sei Nughedese se", by Luis: «Hello to all Nughedesi, today I visited for the first time the city of my grandfather Antonio Scottu, if you ask me what I think? There are so many conflicting emotions, calculated that we are talking about so many generations of my ancestors from this beloved Nughedese town. We were just received by the church tower at 4.45pm same time, some ladies told me I had taken a wrong turn on the council road, (sorry I didn't see the sign) treading the ground where my ancestors stepped, it gave me goosebumps. My daughter enjoyed watching Nughedu. Of course we wonder how the people are here, how they will receive us and much more. It's a difficult process, but we are strong and together with my wife we look forward to starting our businesses in the country where my grandparents were born, I hope they feel honored to know that they are in their beloved land and I will work to honor them and honor my beautiful family. The surnames of my ancestors are Scotti, Arghittu, Sulas. They are the trademark in my blood."
