His community of Norbello, along with many others from various towns in the area and beyond, took part in the inauguration of the mural dedicated to Raffaele Manca in Piazza del Popolo in Norbello.
A heartfelt moment, promoted by the family and the Aps Social and Community Services Center, to remember, three years after his passing, the former mayor, regional councilor, and parliamentarian.
During the ceremony, his political, cultural, and social commitment was remembered, which before his death had seen him lead the civic committee (which now bears his name) in defense of the Delogu Hospital in Ghilarza and the health services of the upper Oristano area.
All aspects highlighted by Quirico Mura and his wife Annalisa Angioni. The mural was created by Norbella artist Archimede Scarpa, a longtime friend of the Manca family. The work stands out for its combination of two techniques: a ceramic section and a sgraffito section, a decorative method that involves carving overlapping layers of plaster. This solution gives the work depth, durability, and a strong symbolic value.
"Raffaele Manca," the artist emphasized, "was a gifted sociocultural animator, who knew how to create gathering spaces and initiatives that influenced the growth of many of the town's young people." Among the memories evoked were the construction of the sports field and the club, a meeting place and place of music for entire generations.
