No step backwards in occupational safety: the Tag (which brings together trade organizations and trade unions) contests «the decision to resize the Prevention and Safety in the Workplace Service (SPRESAL) taken in the Company Act by the general management of the ASL 2 della Gallura» and considers it a worrying sign also considering the important growth rate of the companies, the highest compared to the regional average.
«Considering that in Gallura there is the worst ratio in Sardinia between the number of production units and the number of operators in the Service, 2 to 2.5 times lower than that of the other Local Health Authorities on the island - reads the note signed by the coordinator Luisa Di Lorenzo – we expected greater sensitivity and attention from the Healthcare Company, owner and guarantor of the healthcare service which, in our hopes, should have been implemented and not cut». In the deed, however, notes the Tag, the Spresal passes from a complex structure to a simple departmental structure.
"Only in Gallura, unlike all the other Sardinian Local Health Authorities, - continues the note - despite the recalled elements of the extraordinary nature of the territory, it was decided to propose the structure of the simple departmental structure certainly not consistent with the complexity and importance of the service and its strategic value. We cannot passively accept as Gallura the further stripping and downsizing of a very important service for the workers and the companies themselves present in the area". The trade association and trade unions are therefore asking for the immediate restoration of the Spresal complex structure in the company deed of the ASL, "a strong structure in which the ASL invests, with no ifs, ands or buts, with adequate planning".
