Tickets for the new territorial continuity air service, which will take off on March 29th, will soon go on sale on five of the six routes put out to tender . The regional transport department announced this. The final technical details are still pending, but tickets will be available for purchase within the next few hours.

All routes will be operated by Aeroitalia. The regional government's offices have already approved the Italian carrier's operating plans for the three routes (Olbia-Milan, Olbia-Rome, and Cagliari-Rome) on which the airline will operate without compensation . These routes will incur no costs for the Region, which will thus be able to "allocate resources to other transport sector initiatives." The other airlines that participated in the tender together, ITA and Volotea, can agree to operate the routes without compensation, the regional government specifies.

The Cagliari-Milan and Alghero-Rome routes were also awarded to Aeroitalia, the only carrier to submit a bid. The department explains that these routes are currently undergoing operational program reviews . Once these are completed, authorization will be issued and ticket sales will begin.

The Alghero-Milan issue remains, here the tender was deserted : «A historical criticality – observes councilor Barbara Manca – the current service is being extended with Ita Airways until October , in the meantime we will identify more stable solutions».

"We've focused on improving service quality," says Manca. "Companies are no longer selected solely based on price, but also on their ability to ensure higher standards and an overall better service. This required in-depth analysis and verification."
