Mysterious luminous trail in the sky between Porto Torres and Alghero: Police are investigating.
The images, taken by a motorist, show an unidentified object that appears to have the shape of a missile.

The Sassari police headquarters is investigating videos posted on social media showing a trail of light illuminating the sky at dawn, along the stretch of road between Porto Torres and Alghero. The images were filmed by a paramedic working at the Alghero Civil Hospital.
Traveling along the road, he observed the beam of light rising toward the sky, almost like a missile or a mysterious object equipped with a motor that propelled it upward, still unidentified by investigators. Near Truncu Reale, several onlookers stopped to see what it was. Armed with cell phones, they captured the scene.
The videos and images were acquired by the police headquarters, which is working with the Porto Torres Carabinieri to determine the cause. There are currently no concrete developments in the matter.
