The life sentence for Shahid Masih, the Pakistani bodybuilder who in 2021 killed Mirko Farci, son of his ex-partner, Paola Piras, who was wounded with seventeen stab wounds, has been definitive.

This afternoon, the Court of Cassation confirmed the maximum sentence . The 32-year-old, who is in Uta prison, had been sentenced by the Court of Assizes of Cagliari on February 15, 2023 and then on appeal on May 3, 2024, always with the same verdict. He was sentenced to daytime isolation for six months.

This definitively closes the case that had aroused deep indignation throughout Italy for the ferocity with which the killer had railed against the twenty-year-old who, on that dramatic dawn of May 11, 2021, was trying to defend his mother .

The defendant, who confessed, was assisted by the lawyer Federico Delitala, while the civil parties were represented by the lawyers Marcello Caddori (Paola Piras, Lorenzo Farci, Mirko's brother, Maria Pisu and Roberto Farci, Mirko's paternal grandmother and uncle) and Maurizio Corda (Stefania Piras, Paola's sister).
