The San Giovanni beach, the closest to the town of Muravera (just three kilometres), will live all year round thanks to a half-million euro project. From 2024, tourists and residents will be able to find gym equipment, new car parks, toilets, a restaurant and a kiosk also open in winter (the tender for the assignment of the area is ready).

«This investment – underlines the mayor of Muravera Salvatore Piu – is a tangible sign of the municipal administration's commitment to making San Giovanni a more attractive and functional location».

For some years now, the Marina di San Giovanni has been increasingly frequented by Muraveresi and tourists thanks to the long wooden walkways, ideal for a walk even in winter. Now the aim is to populate the seafront in June as in January and bring the beach ever closer to the town centre.
