Muravera, "surprise" birth in the emergency room of San Marcellino

A baby was born today, surprisingly, in the emergency room of San Marcellino di Muravera .

The mother, a young woman from Villaputzu, went to the hospital for a simple visit: nothing foreshadowed an imminent birth . Instead, the baby wanted to be born in Muravera, in that hospital where the gynecology and obstetrics department has been closed for almost twenty years.

The emergency situation was handled with great professionalism by the doctors and nurses on duty in the Emergency Department.

The young mother and her child, both in good health, were transferred with a Muravera 118 ambulance to the Monserrato hospital.

The news immediately made the rounds of Sarrabus.
