There is the first poll in view of the municipal elections in Cagliari. This was achieved by the BiDimedia institute, commissioned by Giuseppe Farris, who has been competing for months for the mayor's seat in head of a civic coalition (CiviCa 2024).

And the first question obviously seeks an answer in the client's interest: "In the next municipal elections in Cagliari, would you consider the possibility of voting for a civic list rather than for one of the traditional parties?". These are the answers: Yes, definitely 20.1%, Yes, probably 21.3%, No, probably 20.2%, No, definitely 21%, while 17% don't know.

The interviewees were also asked how much trust they have in some potential mayoral candidates: Giuseppe Farris, Gianni Chessa, Edoardo Tocco and Massimo Zedda.

In order, on trust.

Giuseppe Farris: a lot 21%, enough 18%, little 18%, none 34%, I don't know 9%. 23% don't know it.

Gianni Chessa: a lot 6%, enough 16%, little 11%, none 65%, I don't know 8%. 8% don't know it.

Edoardo Tocco: a lot 8%, enough 19%, little 29%, none 40%, I don't know 4%. 10% don't know it.

Massimo Zedda: a lot 17%, enough 24%, little 21%, none 36%, I don't know 2%. 2% don't know it.

The pollsters also hypothesized two scenarios: a challenge between Farris, Zedda and Chessa and another between the first two and Tocco in place of the sardista.

In the first case , Zedda would stand at 54%, Chessa at 27% and Farris at 19. 53% of those interviewed answered "I don't know".

In the second hypothesis , the former Progressive mayor would have 53%, Tocco 30% and Farris 17. He wouldn't know who to vote for, 47%.

From these numbers it seems to emerge that a divided centre-right could lead the centre-left, with Zedda, to victory . On Tuesday the coalition will meet again in Oristano: time is running out.

The survey was carried out between 26 and 29 March, on an adult population residing in the municipality of Cagliari, with a sample of 800 respondents out of 1175 total contacts.
