Mummified corpse discovered in a garden in Cagliari
No signs of violence on the body, the victim is a 57-year-old
A corpse in an advanced state of mummification was discovered today in Cagliari, in the garden of a house in via Riva di Ponente.
To discover the body was the owner of the building, who immediately alerted 112.
The carabinieri of the Cagliari Company and the Investigative Unit of the Provincial Command immediately intervened on the spot together with the coroner.
The victim's name was Stefano Marini, 57, a homeless man living with Caritas.
The hypothesis is that of a death as a result of illness, no signs of violence or particular injuries emerged on the corpse. The 57-year-old, the military found, had the owner's permission to enter the building and take refuge.
The body was transferred to the Polyclinic for forensic examinations.
