Poste Italiane celebrates Mother's Day with a series of initiatives to support gender equality among its employees and parenthood.
For example, the Company has designed a dedicated “Lifeed genitori” program for new mothers and the “Mums at work” program , initiatives that respectively aim to enhance the skills acquired by employees during their parenting experience through time management, listening, patience, empathy and communication, and to facilitate women's return to work after maternity leave , supporting them in finding a balance between their new role as mothers and as workers, with a dedicated coaching program.
On the topic of parenting and managing work and family time, the positive testimony of Serena Pipere, from Siniscola, 37 years old, mother of two-year-old Miriam . Serena has been in Poste Italiane since 2015 and since 2018 she has been employed as a mobile consultant specialist in the provincial branch of Nuoro.
"The company - says Serena - allowed me to work reduced hours when I returned from maternity leave, in October 2023, which I maintained until my daughter's first year of life ." Serena was also able to work for about a month in the post offices of Siniscola and La Caletta, thus having the opportunity to gradually resume her activity in her area of relevance, "spread" over six days. "Even in this case, the company met me halfway - continues the consultant - to allow me to better manage my two main roles: that of worker and that of mother. The colleagues who manage the post offices, then, were special ... the affection they showed me when I returned from maternity leave was touching."
