A peregrine falcon was found in the Morgongiori countryside, in the Obieddu area: it had no wounds or fractures but was severely malnourished.
Thanks to some breeders, the agents of the Forestry Station of Ales intervened and first aid was given to the bird of prey which, if it had not been taken over and urgently taken to the Duemari veterinary clinic in Oristano, would probably have died of starvation.
When it recovers its strength it will be reintroduced into its natural environment.
The peregrine falcon is a species protected by the Washington Convention, which protects fauna and flora at risk of extinction, and by the Hunting Law No. 157/1992.
