The restoration project of the dolmen of Sa Coveccada takes shape, a beautiful megalithic monument located in the Mores countryside.
A first step was an inspection by the Regional Secretariat of the Ministry of Culture for Sardinia and the Abap Superintendence of Sassari and Nuoro to verify the conditions of the structure, which for years now has been surrounded by scaffolding.

After the safety intervention dating back to 2011, the Ministry of Culture has allocated, for the 2021/2023 programming, one million euros for the completion of the restoration works and the arrangement of the area, including the removal of the temporary roof .
The works, by the Regional Secretariat of the Ministry of Culture for Sardinia and the ABAP Superintendency of Sassari and Nuoro, in agreement with the municipality of Mores, will be aimed at the conservation of this very ancient testimony of the prehistoric civilizations that have followed one another in Sardinia, also for use.

Now, after mapping the degradation, we will proceed with the construction of the monument's roofing system and the enhancement of the surrounding area with the creation of a visit itinerary to the Dolmen and the nearby Menhir and, finally, the creation of adequate panels to support use.
