The new Mores ring road is open to traffic. An intervention costing a total of 8 million euros, which connects, via the provincial road 63, the state road 131 with the Sassari-Olbia, becoming a privileged route for those who need to reach the north-east from southern Sardinia.

The new route allows traffic to be disposed of in a more homogeneous manner with safety conditions suitable for heavy vehicle traffic thanks to two lanes with a width of 3.75 meters and two 1.50 meter bituminous side shoulders.

The road is 1.5 kilometers long and has a maximum gradient of 1.93%. The ribbon cutting with the administrator of the Province Pietro Fois, the mayor Enrico Virdis and the regional councilors for public works Pier Luigi Saiu and local authorities Aldo Salaris.

"An important day for the territory - highlighted Fois - which sees the completion of the second lot, the subject of works, which began in September 2020 and which concerns the crossing of the Sp 20, the Ardara-Mores, where the first lot ends and the construction of a new roadway that joins the 128 bis via a roundabout, in the direction with the 131, near the siliceous quarries and close to the Bonnanaro-Mores junction. A work that restores safety to the territory".

"The completion of the second lot - said Virdis - in addition to facilitating traffic, decongests the pre-urban section of the State Road 128 bis, increasing road safety precisely on this stretch where there are numerous accesses of private homes in the Mores countryside and intersections with roads municipal agricultural penetrations. The upcoming works on the first lot which presents important critical issues are also excellent news."

"An important strategic work for the territory - explained Salaris - a necessary infrastructure that connects the inland areas to what is the main artery for reaching important sites, such as health centres, ports and airports in total safety" .
