Ten years have passed since the collapse of the Monte Pino road, devastated by the passage of Cyclone Cleopatra which caused the death of three people in Gallura, as well as the almost permanent interruption of the road connection between Olbia and Tempio and various other municipalities.

But there is still silence on the reconstruction project for the provincial road 38 . In particular, the works in the former province of Olbia Tempio remain paralysed. An intolerable situation, which is pushing the Civic Committee of Monte Pino to think about important actions, such as a complaint to the Prosecutor: «If by 15 September», says the president Giuseppina Pasella, «the sub-commissioner of the Province will not let us know anything about the reconstruction project, we will present a complaint and we hope that in front of a judge we can finally clarify the project and the timing of the start of the works ».

Not only that, because the consequences of ten years of closure are already relevant: «We will also ask», Pasella continues, « for damages to the Province for all this lost time and for the delay accumulated thanks to their incompetence . Until now we have accepted everything, we were aware that it took time, but ten years later, in addition to the answers, we also want to be compensated for the expenses. Diesel is 2 euros and there is northern Sardinia cut in two, but nobody seems to be interested».
