The ROS carabinieri showed up again this morning in the offices used by the former councilor for Agriculture, Gabriella Murgia, and the head of the pain therapy of Binaghi (then Marino) Tomaso Cocco, both arrested last week as part of the maxi Monte Nuovo investigation by the DDA of Cagliari, which led to the arrest of 31 alleged members of a criminal association (13 in prison and 18 under house arrest) which linked bandits from central Sardinia and white collar workers. Among the accusations: mafia association, secret association, drug trafficking and covering up Graziano Mesina's fugitive status.

This morning, according to what we learned, further documents were acquired which would add to the huge amount of material already collected during the investigation. It cannot be ruled out that there could be further sensational developments in the coming days, with other important names being added to the register of suspects.

In the meantime, the interrogations of those arrested should be concluded within this week. So far, everyone has made use of the right not to answer before the investigating judge Michele Contini and the prosecutors Emanuele Secci and Rosanna Allieri.

Only in spontaneous declarations did Murgia claim to be unrelated to the alleged facts. While Giuseppe Paolo Frongia, accused of being one of Mesina's supporters, claimed to have never had any relationship with the bandit.

All those arrested have until Saturday to submit a request for release or mitigation of the precautionary measure to the Review Court.
