Eternal love exists, it is what gave Efisio Cogoni and Anna Piludu a long life together and a peaceful death. Monserratini doc, they were married seventy-six years ago, they passed away in their home a few hours apart: he on Saturday evening, she yesterday before dawn. They were placed in two coffins side by side, like in a double bed, and they will rest side by side in the cemetery too.

They had met as kids and never left each other, "always in symbiosis, for 80 years," says Clelia, one of the daughters, "I don't remember ever hearing them argue. Mom always told us: if I die on Monday, your father will die on Tuesday, or vice versa. In short, they couldn't stay apart even for a minute."
