Monserrato Murder: Secci Taken to Uta Prison: He Did Not Answer Magistrate's Questions

Pensioner Giovanni Secci, aged 18, was transferred last night to Uta prison on charges of murder. He was accused of killing his wife Mariolina Seguri, his peer, by suffocating her with a pillow in the bedroom of their home on Via Boezio, in Monserrato.

Yesterday, the pensioner remained silent, refusing to answer the magistrate's questions at the Monserrato barracks, where he had arrived with the Carabinieri station a few minutes after the crime. Judge Enrico Lussu, who is leading the investigation, will question him on Monday at the validation hearing .

Also on Monday, the Brotzu Institute of Forensic Medicine will conduct a post-mortem examination on the victim's body. The magistrate has assigned the task to coroner Roberto Demontis, who was present yesterday with the magistrate and investigators at the victim's home inspection.
