Filippo, the son of Daniel and Veronika Suttò, the newly weds from Bratislava who arrived in Sardinia at the end of July to spend their honeymoon on the island, was born on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday at the Polyclinic. Born premature at only 6 months, the baby was placed in an incubator and hospitalized in intensive care where he will have to stay at least until October.

«Filippo and Veronika are fine», says father Daniel still excited, «the doctors and midwives explained everything to us, our baby is small and very fragile, but he has already shown great strength. We are very confident also thanks to the love we have been showered with ».

The story of the couple, who are looking for a house to live in for the next few months in which they will be forced to stay in Sardinia, has gone viral and a solidarity contest immediately broke out on the island. Starting from the B & b in Tortoli, where Daniel and Veronika were staying when she had her first contractions.

«I cannot express in words how friendly and kind everyone is to us», the man continues, «they have helped us to overcome this difficult moment well. Now let's hope for the best, let's pray to God that he will give little Filippo the strength to stay healthy and grow ». Meanwhile, husband and wife are evaluating several houses that the generosity of the Sardinians has made available to them. “There have been many people who have offered us accommodation. At the moment we have the possibility to choose between three different houses. We want to be as close as possible to the hospital to be next to our son, then Veronika wants to bring him milk several times a day ». (fr. me.)
