Yesterday in court in Sassari, the preliminary hearing judge Sergio De Luca , in an abbreviated trial, added 5 months to the 4 years already requested by the public prosecutor Ermanno Cattaneo for an episode of money laundering dating back to 2020 in the town of Olmedo .

According to the charges, a 51-year-old man from Alghero allegedly "obstructed the criminal origin of a van received from an unknown person and found to be the result of a theft".

According to the indictment, the vehicle of a 63-year-old man from Sassari had been robbed of various parts, "the entire front cabin, including the anti-theft device installed by the injured party, as well as the front and rear bumpers, in addition to the vehicle's toolbox."

As written, the judge sentenced the man, with specific precedents, to 4 years and 5 months and a fine of 10,500 euros (the prosecutor had asked for 500 euros less). The GUP also established a provisional amount in favor of the civil party, assisted by the lawyer Pierluigi Olivieri, of 5,000 euros.
