The meeting of the majority councilors with the Minister of Regional Affairs Roberto Calderoli has begun in the transatlantic of the Sardinian Assembly. An hour late because, before arriving at the building in via Roma, the minister had a conversation at Villa Devoto with the president of the Region, Christian Solinas.

The Sardinian specialty will not be put at risk by the law on differentiated autonomy, he immediately clarified: «The Sardinian specialty must find a development like those of the other Regions with special statute. The Sardinian specialty is a bit particular: there are problems to be solved that must be faced with a particular eye and an ad hoc strategic plan for Sardinia».

Certainly, "insularity is a starting point, but little is done about general principles if they are not translated into concrete facts".

The minister has already been to eighty percent of the Italian regions with the aim of illustrating the bill on differentiated autonomy. The confrontation on the island was strongly desired by the president of the regional council (and regional coordinator of the League) Michele Pais. "Today I bring some answers with respect to the application of differentiated autonomy so that insularity finds answers not only in terms of the services to be provided but also of the infrastructures to be built," said Calderoli.

On the dossier of the Senate Budget Office which made a series of remarks on the text, he minimized: «Critical remarks have been made, based not on numbers but on their presumptions. The general state accounting office is undertaking to respond, which has already stamped this text without recognizing the risks reported ».
