Meanwhile, the search continues for the group of migrants who never arrived at their destination on Friday. There were nine of them, one was found alive immediately, and a body was recovered yesterday . Seven are still missing, and the Unione Sarda editorial staff continues to receive requests from family members and friends of the missing, seeking news of their loved ones, who departed from Algeria on Wednesday, specifically from the city of Skikda, but never reached their destination .

The Guardia di Finanza's patrol boats and helicopter, along with Coast Guard patrol boats, are combing the coast near Sant'Antioco for traces of the missing . On Saturday night, the Guardia di Finanza's plane spotted the body of a migrant, which was later recovered by the Port Authority. The day before, the Guardia di Finanza had also rescued one of the migrants. He had reported being shipwrecked while trying to reach the coast of Sardinia with eight other people.
