Migrants: another landing along the Sardinian coasts
Two groups tracked down in Pula and Chia, all were transferred to MonastirA new landing on the coasts of southern Sardinia. During the night, around 1.20 am, a group of 12 migrants was intercepted in Pula by the Assemini carabinieri together with colleagues from the Cagliari Radiomobile.
The foreigners, all male and in good health, declared that they were Tunisians, they are undocumented.
No boats were found in the area.
In the same hours in Chia, on the beach of “Su Portu” ( Domus de Maria ), the soldiers of Sarroch with those of Capoterra have tracked down 13 other migrants, also of presumed Tunisian nationality. All male and in good health, they had no identification documents. The carabinieri found a small boat in the "Su Cordolinu" area.
The two groups were transferred to the Monastir reception center.
Yesterday there was a previous landing with the arrival of about eighty Tunisians blocked by the Finance Police off the coast of Sulcis .
