Migrant landings in Sardinia: 59 arrived in a few hours

Good sea conditions have facilitated the resumption of migrant landings on the coasts of south-western Sardinia.

Between yesterday evening and this morning, a total of 59 arrived, 58 men and one woman. Seventeen landed on the beach of Porto Pino, in the municipality of Sant'Anna Arresi, with another four shortly after. In the morning, another 30 arrived in the same area, while a small boat with 8 migrants managed to reach the coast of Pula.

All were intercepted by the Carabinieri and the police and transferred to the first reception centre in Monastir.
