A new milestone for 18-year-old Melissa Floris from Paulilatino. On Saturday night, in the picturesque setting of Piazza Italia in Sassari, she won the Miss Miluna Sardegna sash, which effectively gives her access to the Miss Italia national pre-finals. The Sassari pageant, ahead of the grand finals on August 29th in Oristano, was one of the most important events in the Miss Italia journey on the island. Melissa, who has already achieved other successes, is enjoying this new milestone while dreaming of a future as a doctor. For her, participating in Miss Italia also has a deeply emotional meaning: since she was a child, she had dreamed of participating in the pageant, a passion she shared with her grandfather, and today, with the achievement of an important regional title, it takes on an even more special meaning.

Several contestants traveled to Sassari from various locations across Sardinia, aiming to win the Miss Miluna Sardegna 2026 sash, a title that represents a particularly prestigious milestone in the pageant. During the evening, the Miss Città di Sassari sash was also awarded to Elisa Zucchi, 21, a graduate in Communications, who continues her journey in the pageant. Particularly significant was the speech by Sassari City Councilor for Culture, Nicoletta Puggioni, who addressed the contestants, urging them to believe in their dreams and pursue them with determination, without ever neglecting the importance of study and training.

A message to young people, encouraging them to continue investing in themselves and in building their future, turning their aspirations into goals to be achieved with commitment and awareness. Satisfaction was also expressed by Miss Italia's regional representative in Sardinia, Marcella Piano, who emphasized the human value of the journey the pageant is undertaking on the island: "I am very satisfied with the journey I am undertaking with Miss Italia in Sardinia. Step by step, I have the opportunity to interact with so many girls from all over the island and discover young people who, in addition to their beauty, demonstrate intelligence, preparation, and determination. Each of them brings with them dreams, plans, education, and aspirations. Miss Italia thus becomes an experience that evolves hand in hand with their lives and the future they are building. Learning their stories and accompanying them on this journey is one of the most beautiful aspects of my job." With the Sassari pageant behind them, the Miss Italia Sardinia 2026 journey now enters its final phase. All the regional finalists are preparing for the big event on Saturday 29 August in Piazza Eleonora d'Arborea in Oristano for the regional final of Miss Italia Sardegna 2026.
