The Mediterranean Festival, the event organized by the cultural association Arte in Musica, continues with concerts dedicated to the organ. Today, Sunday 18 August , in the cathedral of Alghero, starting at 9 pm , the protagonists will be the Spaniard Antonio del Pino Romero and the Italian Giovanni Perrucci, who will propose a program dedicated to compositions for organ four hands by Ramón Ferreñac, Giovanni Morandi and Gioachino Rossini.
Perrucci and del Pino Romero are both established concert performers, teachers and scholars of organ music authors from Italy and Spain. A musical event that promises to be of great quality and interest for the public that always follows the Festival events in large numbers, aimed at enthusiasts but also at the many tourists who flock to the Riviera del Corallo in this period.
The Mediterranean Festival, with the artistic direction of Maestro Ugo Spanu, is supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Sardinia Region, the Regional Council of Sardinia, the Fondazione di Sardegna, the Chamber of Commerce of Sassari through the project “Salude&Trigu” and by the Alghero Foundation and the Municipality of Alghero. The concert will be presented by Carmela Mura Monfardino, who with introductory analyses will accompany the spectators to listen to the individual compositions in the program.
