The territorial committees that in Sardinia oppose the speculations of the renewable energy multinationals are back on a war footing.
To stir things up, the lack of discussion in the regional council, as per promises obtained before the summer break , on requests for a moratorium for maxi-projects for the construction of mega-wind and solar plants on the island .
For this Thursday morning the committees have organized a new new mobilization, with a sit-in under the building in via Roma in Cagliari.
The objective of the initiative, the committees themselves explain, is to «remind President Michele Pais of what he promised on 8 August: to discuss the approval of a law that would stop the theft of sun, wind, earth and water. It's time for the promise of a law against energy speculation to be respected: moratorium now! ».
