There is a new project for a large solar power plant in the territory of Luras . The offices of the Municipality of the Gallura center have received the first communications on the procedure, already activated, for the creation of a park of about sixty hectares in the area of Silonis , a location in the open countryside bordering the territory of Tempio.

The Municipality of Luras, like several others in Alta Gallura, has communicated to the Region the unsuitability of the site for the installation of the panels and all the related works. Indeed, the administration of the Gallura center has confirmed the content of previous observations, reporting that it does not have in its territory any area suitable for the construction of plants for the production of electricity from wind or solar sources.

Another plant, called “Sinnada”, consisting of eight wind turbines, is planned near Silonis, but this one was also rejected by the Municipality.
