There is attention to the relevant "issues related to the impact it will have on traffic of a strategic road axis". But above all "what worries me are the devastating effects it will have on the city's commercial activities".

Cagliari mayoral candidate Giuseppe Farris, a lawyer at the head of a civic coalition that has been in the running for months in the race for Palazzo Bacaredda.

Farris underlines that in those lands between the airport and State Road 130 «the largest commercial center in Sardinia is about to be born, in the silence of municipal and metropolitan city politics, both center-right and center-left, while the privatization operation of the airport continues, by the Chamber of Commerce".

The feeling, explains the candidate for mayor, «is that a plan is being brought to fruition, which began with the war on cars which, in fact, can no longer circulate in Cagliari and which are being diverted, through the creation of new places of attraction , towards the hinterland".

«Who knows what Massimo Zedda thinks about it», adds Farris, who underlines: «The company that owns the former Fas area can also be traced back to the president of the Chamber of Commerce».
