The autopsy will be carried out tomorrow morning by the coroner, Professor Roberto Demontis, on the body of the 4-month-old baby from Settimo San Pietro, who died in his parents' bedroom after probably becoming trapped between the cot and the bedside table .

Death may have been caused by asphyxiation: he was trapped and unable to breathe. His mother initially came to his aid, desperately calling 911. The doctor spent over half an hour trying to revive him, but unfortunately, was unsuccessful.

On site yesterday evening, the same coroner Demontis intervened with the Sinnai Carabinieri, who then decided to transfer the body to the Brotzu Institute of Forensic Medicine for a necropsy.

There is deep mourning in the village for the tragedy that has devastated an entire family.
