A wild boar hunt in the Masullas countryside nearly ended in tragedy. Late this morning, a 56-year-old man, originally from Morgongiori but resident in Uras, was struck by a ricochet shot fired by a fellow hunter.

Initial reports suggest his life is not in danger; he appears to have been shot in the arm and grazed in the chest. Colleagues immediately raised the alarm and called for help. Emergency medical services arrived on the scene and, after administering initial treatment, requested a helicopter to transport him to the Brotzu Hospital in Cagliari.

The Carabinieri of the Mogoro Company also arrived immediately in the countryside of Masullas and collected all the useful information to clarify the incident . They also interviewed the other hunters at length to try to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident.
