Sandro Sarais, the 56-year-old from Nuraminis accused of the femicide of his partner Michaela Kleics, did not answer the questions of the public prosecutor Nicoletta Mari in this morning's interrogation. The man asked for a few days to recover: tracked down in the Solanas countryside by the carabinieri who had been looking for him for several hours, he injured his neck and arms with a knife and is currently hospitalized at Businco (after being transferred from Brotzu). The interrogation took place in the hospital. However, Sarais seemed collaborative: by Thursday there will be the validation hearing and the man could provide his version of the tragedy that took place in the attic of a building in via della Musica in Quartu.

Everyone in the area is talking about heralded murder. In the house the quarrels between the couple were frequent. The carabinieri were called several times and on one occasion the 118 ambulance also intervened. proceeds ex officio and all the documents have been transferred to the Public Prosecutor's Office).

The day of the crime should have been last Saturday: at the end of the umpteenth discussion, Sarais allegedly hit the woman with numerous stabs (we are talking about at least thirty blows). Then he would drive away in his car, wandering the coast until he took shelter under an overpass in the Solanas area. The lifeless body of the 50-year-old was found yesterday morning: a sister of Michaela Kleics called the carabinieri from Romania worried because she could not get in touch with her relative. Soldiers from Quartu's company and firefighters broke into the house. The woman's mangled body lay on the bedroom bed in a pool of blood.

The information collected in the building (all the tenants reported screams, quarrels and even death threats by a man in his fifties) and the report of last August immediately led to suspicions about the companion, who is nowhere to be found. Thanks to the geolocation, the investigators tracked down Sarais's car which, at the sight of the military, locked himself in the car, injuring himself with a knife (the one used for the murder is not excluded). Then he was transferred to the hospital in custody.

Today the public prosecutor Nicoletta Mari will appoint the coroner Roberto Demontis for the autopsy, which should be performed between tomorrow and Thursday.
