The centre-right mayoral candidate, Alessandra Zedda, went headlong, speaking of institutional incorrectness. The civic opponent Giuseppe Farris, on the other hand, does not dwell too much on arguing about the appointment of Luisa Anna Marras as extraordinary commissioner of the Municipality of Cagliari after the resignation of Paolo Truzzu.

President Todde's decision, according to the League candidate, should be contested because Marras was deputy mayor of Massimo Zedda, who was also back in the field for the (re)conquest of Palazzo Bacaredda.

Farris sees it differently: «The Northern League candidate is tearing her clothes over the nomination of Luisa Anna Marras. He states that this "disrupts the rules of correct electoral competition". Now, how the commissioner can influence the electoral outcome escapes me", argues Farris, "we are only interested in one thing: that Marras limits himself to ordinary administration. Knowing her, I have no doubt that this will be the case. For the rest", concludes the lawyer, "the next mayor of Cagliari will be chosen by the voters. Certainly not the commissioner."
