In Oristano, the Police Headquarters cracked down to combat drug trafficking.

During several checks carried out by the State Police, assisted by the canine unit of the Nuoro Penitentiary Police , six people were reported who will have to answer for the crime of production, processing and possession for the purpose of dealing of narcotic substances.

In detail: three people were reported for the crime of illicit production and processing of marijuana after the discovery by the agents, inside a warehouse on the outskirts, of almost sixty kilos of illegally processed hemp , later subjected to criminal seizure.

Two other people were reported for heroin dealing following some searches, conducted by the Oristano Flying Squad with the assistance of the canine units of the Nuoro Penitentiary Police, during which several doses already prepared for retail sale were found, as well as approximately 2000 euros in small denomination banknotes.

Finally, a woman from Cabras was finally reported because she was found in possession of approximately 10 grams of cocaine , already divided into doses and ready for sale; in addition to the drug, the woman hid in her home a precision scale and all the material necessary for packaging the substance in doses.
