The sea is always painted, but the canvas returns to being the same as always . At Mari Pintau, which in Sardinian means precisely “painted sea”, the water continues to give its games of turquoise and emeralds, but the bathers have already said goodbye to the ephemeral dream of the white and very fine sand that, just two weeks ago, had taken the place of the stones.

A transformation that had the frequenters of the renowned beach on the Quartu coast rejoicing: finally a soft expanse on which to lie down without a sunbed, finally a more comfortable Mari Pintau, without losing any of its chromatic beauty.

But no: the sand, thanks to the wave motion and the instability of the intervention, has disappeared. And the pebbles - smooth, characteristic, but undeniably uncomfortable - have returned to claim their natural space.
