The Lanusei Prosecutor's Office has issued the authorization for the return of Marco Mameli's body to his family . The certificate, signed this morning by Deputy Prosecutor Giovanna Morra, in charge of the investigation (currently without suspects) for homicide, had been expected for several days.

The funeral will be held tomorrow , Saturday, March 15, in the church of San Giovanni Battista. For the occasion, the mayor of Ilbono Giampietro Murru has proclaimed a day of mourning .

The crime dates back to the evening of March 1st when, in via Santa Cecilia in Bari Sardo, Mameli was stabbed three times. His killer remains unnamed .
