Man dumps 42 bags of rubbish on the streets of Dolianova: caught, he will have to pay for disposal

Forty-two bags were abandoned in various locations around the town . Inside, they contained all kinds of waste (plastic, aluminum, pet food containers, rags, and paper).

This time, however, the culprit, a middle-aged man who wasn't registered as a TARI user, didn't get away with it. In recent days, local police officers, after a lengthy investigation, were able to identify him using strategically placed camera traps. The man will now have to pay a fine and dispose of the waste at his own expense.

This morning, teams from Cosir, the company that manages waste sorting for the Parteolla Union of Municipalities, removed the garbage in compliance with an order signed by Mayor Ivan Piras. The waste was temporarily deposited at the municipal recycling center in the Bardella industrial zone. The person responsible for the dumping has until Wednesday to dispose of it. Failure to comply could result in a fine of up to €4,500 and a criminal conviction for environmental pollution.
