Yesterday evening , Antonio Pasquale Sanna, a 40-year-old businessman from Orune , appeared at the Nuoro Police Headquarters. He was accompanied by his defense attorney, criminal lawyer Margherita Baragliu.
Sanna, 39, is one of those sentenced to prison as part of Operation West Pole (marijuana and cocaine trafficking, FULL DETAILS HERE ) and was not arrested on December 14th. He turned himself in last night and was taken into custody by the Flying Squad, who proceeded to arrest him.
According to Cagliari DDA prosecutor Rossana Allieri, Sanna allegedly had contact with Luciano Corraine, from Galtellì, one of the key figures in the Polo Ovest group, specifically for marijuana "supplies." Criminal lawyer Margherita Baragliu declined to comment.
