It is the accusation that a 45-year-old from Sassari will have to answer for, arrested by the Police of the Macomer police station.
The agents intervened on the recommendation of the Social Services, discovering that the man had been keeping his partner segregated at home for some time, subjecting her to physical and psychological harassment.
Arriving at the scene, the policemen found the door locked from the outside and the windows "armored" with wire. Furthermore, the handles had been removed from the windows. From inside you could hear the woman's cries and requests for help.
The agents then tracked down the partner, ordering him to open the door.
At that point the woman - in an evident state of suffering from her captivity - was rescued and taken to a family home in a protected location.
His tormentor, on the other hand, after the release of handcuffs was transferred, on the order of the Oristano prosecutor's office, to the Massama prison.
